Prof. Babatunde Ayeleru is a Professor of French, Applied Linguistics and African Literatures in the Department of European Studies, University of Ibadan. He was Head, Department of European Studies, University of Ibadan. He has published articles widely in reputable national and international journals such as Journal of African Cultural Studies (JACS), Matatu: Journal of African Culture and Society, Voix Plurielles, Le Langage et L’Homme, Revisita Africa, Traduction et Langues and California Linguistic Notes.
Ayeleru is the author of A Concise Course in French and co-editor of Language, Literature & and Criticism. He was editor of Ibadan Journal of European Studies, Guest Editor Ife Journal of Foreign Languages and Revue de l’association nigeriane des enseignants universitaires de franҫais (RANEUF).
Prof. Ayeleru is a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL); Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CEPACS); DAAD (The German Academic Exchange Service) and EU-ERAMUS+. He is a certified accreditor for programmatic and institutional accreditation of the Virtual Institute for Capacity Building in Higher Education (VICBHE) in collaboration with the National Universities Commission (NUC); Global University Network for Innovation (GUN-AFRICA) and Quality Assurance Network (AfriQAN).
Prof. Ayeleru is currently the Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria French Language Village, Badagry, Lagos.
